# Season and referrals

> Earn points for trading and for bringing friends.

Season is how OperSa rewards the people who show up early and build the market. You earn points for your own activity and for the activity of the people you bring in, and points move you up the leaderboard.

## Earning points

## How referrals work

Referrals on OperSa are attributed on-chain, not tracked in a spreadsheet that can quietly change.

    Grab your referral link from the Season area. It carries your clean username, so it looks good when you post it.

  <Step title="Your friend joins and trades">
    When someone signs up through your link, they are attributed to you on-chain. As they trade, their volume is credited toward your points.

  <Step title="You climb the leaderboard">
    Your points reflect both your own trading and the volume of everyone you brought in. The more your network trades, the higher you rise.
